Night Photography

Recently I started out with my new hobby in photography. I know with the current camera that I’m using, it's probably not appropriate to call it photography. I do enjoy taking pictures and making photographic compositions out of ordinary things people take for granted every day.

Last night my friend and I chased the mid-day sun, ensuring that we can take photos of architectural buildings during the “golden hour” this is known as the last hour before the sunset or it can be the first hour after sunrise thus producing warm pictures with a dramatic sun background.

In the end, it took us to long to actually get to the buildings on time, but we decided to try something different and played around with the shutter speed of our cameras.

This for me was something completely new to my hobby, it will be a technique that I will use a lot in the future.

This is the new DMV Architecture Firm in Main Road Port Elizabeth

South City, 9th Ave, Walmer, Port Elizabeth Designed by Jason Erlank Architects

The Camera that I’m currently using is the Canon PowerShot sx540hs. This is a bridge camera with additional manual functions to give more or less the same experience as that of a DSLR camera.
