ABOUT ME
I am a young vibrant student currently completing my B-Tech Degree in Architecture Applied Design (fourth year of studies) at the Department of Architecture, Nelson Mandela University.
I grew up in Queenstown, Eastern Cape and matriculated in 2013. During school I spent most of my time behind a guitar, giving guitar lessons and working as a physical worker for many businesses since the age of 16 every holiday for pocket money. Right after school in 2014, I kicked off a brand new year and started out working for a local Architecture firm, Ikamva Architects.
I am forever great full for the year 2014, the firm taught me how to work with a vast amount of drawing software and I even figured out how to build architectural models with a 3D printer all by myself. It’s noteworthy to say that 2014 was one of the largest challenges of my life, suddenly I had to be professional and worthy to a professional architectural firm. At some stage, I thought that working for this firm is what I am going to do for the rest of my life. By the grace of God after many prayers, I embarked my Architectural studies in 2015, I saw what a great city Port Elizabeth can be and offer to a small town boy like myself.
I Completed a 6-month Practical Subject In my third year of studies at Balshaw & Fogarty Architects situated in Port Elizabeth where yet again I gained a lot of experience.
In this personal blog, I would like to share with you my journey throughout this year, typically on how I experience Port Elizabeth: the architecture, my studies and even some of my personal talents yet to be discovered and developed. Please take a moment and enjoy my photography as well as my blog posts.
